Three Insights on Mindfulness

I recently attended a leadership workshop at work that focused on combining a growth mindset with mindfulness in action. (Source: Conscious Leadership Group)

  • Growth Mindset learning:

  1. Be self-aware

  2. Be willing to experiment

  3. Focus on progress over time

  4. Learn from others

  5. Choose the right action

  • Mindful responding:

  1. Be self-aware; balance your attention

  2. Pause, breathe

  3. Inquire about the meaning you made; challenge your assumptions

  4. Plan how to neutralize defensiveness

  5. Mindfully take action and pay attention to the impact
