I have been reeling this week from the horrific tragedy of the shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Here are a few insights that are helping me be OK with not being OK. May we give one another space and hold each other with grace.

America’s gun culture in seven charts. The data in these charts is alarming. This month alone, there has been a hate crime at a supermarket in a predominately black neighborhood in Buffalo, NY, a hate crime at a Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, CA, and a school shooting of 19 children and two teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, TX. I am sick and tired of taking a moment for silent prayer. No more. My lamentation and actions are loud expressions, “enough.”
I also reflect on this question, “Who taught the shooters to hate so much they would kill children and adults?”
