What I learned in high school about a valuable tool for practicing mindfulness today:

  • In high school, I fell in love with journaling, photography, and spirituality.

  • I attended an all-girls Catholic high school and participated in a yearly retreat where journaling was the main tool for learning about spiritual growth.

  • "Write this down" was the common phrase we heard when we needed to remember a significant quote or thought.
